Welcome!
During 2010-12 I'll be updating this photoblog of St. Catharines and surrounding area. In addition to the city's natural beauty I'm looking for events and people to add to this blog. Do you have a band? Into Sports? Have an event? I'll cover it at no charge and post the photos here.
I hope you enjoy my work!

Niagara Railway Museum
Ken Jones from the Niagara Railway Museum has found a permanent home for the collection that the volunteers have assembled. The Niagara Railway Museum will be located in Fort Erie at an old CN repair facility.
No parts catalog here, John Vav Zulien built this train from scratch with his metal working tools at home

Views of the lighthouse in Port Dalhousie
As dusk settled in last Sunday I was able to capture this shot of the sun setting in the window of the inner lighthouse.
This photograph was taken in the spring from the observation point at Bayview and St. Ann St. in Port Dalhousie

Creme de la Crema in Niagara Square
Chris and Trish are a wonderful young couple that have opened a well thought out cafe that rivals any chain cafe. I had a peanut butter latte and it was excellent. If you are in Niagara Square stop in and say hello.

These are the storefronts across from 1 St. Paul.
A beautifully redone building at the corner of St. Paul and Queen St.
Another well restored building
(that needs a bit more paint)
along St. Paul St
On Ontario St. a roof top that demonstrates the beauty of some older buildings. While in need of paint the detail of the roof provides some interest.

The Shipwreck in Jordan
Who knows who it belongs to but it's been there for a long time. Word is that it was a floating party bar, originally a barge but done up to look like a pirate ship. The Standard did an article on it some years back.
